Tahoe
Donner is located in the upper region of Truckee, California, about
5 miles from Donner Lake and less than 20 miles from Lake Tahoe.
It was established in 1970 and encompasses over 3,300 acres that
are owned and managed by the association. It ranges in elevation
from 6,200 to 8,000 and offers both down-hill ski and cross-country
ski areas as well as a snow-play area for kids and families. In
the summer, it offers golf, horseback riding, a variety of hiking
trails, tennis, boating, sailing, windsailing, beaching, etc. on
Donner Lake. Year round it also offers an amazing health club with
two large out-door pools, work-out facilities, sauna, steam-room,
Jacuzzis, and exercise classes.
Being
only minutes away from Truckee and the North Shore of Tahoe Lake,
means that you will have access to one of Northern California’s
best recreation areas. There are more mountain biking and hiking
trails there than one can do in a life time. If you are into boating,
jet-skiing, hanging out on a pristine mountain-lake beach, well,
you name it. It is all here.
